FREEDOM

Unlimited freedom of expression
For any opinion whatsoever
Without any restriction or reservation
Is an absolute need for the intellect.

The intellect serves the soul
And when the intellect is uneasy
The entire soul sickens
From this lack of freedom.

A healthy society has similar needs
Save for ‘Opinions’ that attempt 
To persuade an abrogation
Of said freedoms…

The distinction between the two
That which is external to action
And that which is part of it
Form an eternal dialectic:

Theory and Practice;
The Woke and the Unwoke;
The public need to fence in
The essential need for freedom.
